Rev. Colton LaMay will be installed as Gethsemane Lutheran Church’s Senior Pastor on March 8th. The service will be at 5:00pm. It will be a regular Sunday Service with the Installation ceremony. Because of this, there will be no morning service on March 8th. We will only have the one service at 5:00pm. Note that this is also the day our clocks “spring forward”, so make sure you’re on time for the evening service!

Gethsemane Lutheran Church Council and the Call Committee are pleased to announce that our call to Rev. Colton LaMay, who is currently serving in Sarnia, Ontario, has been accepted. His Installation at GLC will be on March 8th, more details to follow.
Rev. LaMay was born in Petoskey, Michigan, but soon moved to Missouri. After moving to Florida, He served as a Director of Music at a congregation starting in 2007. He earned a Masters in Education, specializing in Music Education and Pre-School Education. He was called into ministry via the Special Ministry Program (SMP) in 2018 and finished in June of 2022. He occasionally filled in for his senior pastor, who had become ill. Eventually, though, his family desired a move to Canada and was called by Redeemer Lutheran in Sarnia in 2022.
Rev. LaMay is married to his wife Sadie, and they have two boys, Jude (16) and Joshua (6). They are an incredible and faithful family and we are very blessed to have them join our GLC family. We know that God will do great things through them! We look forward to supporting them in any way possible.
Here is the acceptance letter sent to our congregation:

Hopeful that our Pastoral vacancy will be filled; hopeful that our community will be drawn to our church; and hopeful for revival in the church and world. We at GLC would like to wish you a Happy New Year and a year full of God’s blessings!

Recently, our Young Adults group went out for a night of fun at Big Time Entertainment in Windsor. We played a round of mini-golf, raced go-karts, played a bunch of pinball and arcade games, and of course, enjoyed some pizza and pop! Here’s a photo of the group before we started our round of mini-golf.
Feel free to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm for Bible Study, worship, fun and food!
