When we think of giving, the first thing we tend to think about is money. And although money is required to run a church, there are many ways to give. One is by giving time, or talents. This may involve directly helping in a ministry or charitable initiative, or even attending church. Another way to give your time is to join the church, because this requires instruction time in the Catechism and Christian beliefs. Baptism is a way to give of yourself, or your child–this is one of the Means of Grace that the Lutheran church teaches about.
