Coffee Maker Donation - A brand new
commercial 100 cup coffee maker has been given to GLC by the members of our
Confirmation Class! Thanks to each one of them for providing this much
needed item. Coffee will be brewed over and over and over again! |

Girls' Group - On Friday, May 16th,
from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at First Lutheran in Kingsville, the Girls' Group will
meet to discuss the theme of God's guidance. Please contact leader
Erica Heil if you need a ride or more information. Also, a Pelee
Island weekend getaway is being planned for Friday, June 27th - Sunday, June
29th. The total cost is only $50 per person and includes your fare
over and back and well as all your food and drink. Contact Erica to
receive an info package. |

Youth - Team Challenge for Glory (or at
least for fun!) is coming up on May 9th at GLC at 7:00 p.m. Bring your
friends and come ready for anything! This is for Essex County Lutheran
youth. There is also a Youth Bible Study planed for May 18th at 7:00
p.m. |

Church-Wide Talent Festival - Sunday,
June 22nd in the afternoon. Call the church if you'd like to
participate. As this is not and open mic, please register to be
on the playlist. |

DPS Call - On May 3, 2008 at her call
service, DPS Student Intern Rebecca Klages received a call (pending
completion of student internship) to St. Luke, Surrey, B.C. This call
is following her internship. |

From Pastor Greg Lutz - Oberammergau's
Passion Play, a famous event since 1634, is scheduled for 2010. There
will be a special presentation at Peace Lutheran on May 15th at 7:00 p.m.
sponsored by Collette Vacations. Refreshments will follow the
presentation. Pastor & Mrs. Lutz will lead a ten-day trip in early
July 2010 to see the passion play, and also Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.
Anyone interested in this trip can contact them for more information. |

Summer Worship - Our Summer Worship
schedule begins on Sunday, May 25th with worship at 10:00 a.m. continuing
through the summer. |

Congregational Meeting - The
Congregational meeting with elections is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on May
25th after service. Nomiations are posted and further nominations may
be made, with consent, prior to (but not during) the meeting. |

Sunday School News - For the Sunday
School Extreme Makeover about $2,000 was raised from April's fundraisers,
thanks to your generosity. Volunteers, ideas, and donations are still
needed for the summer project as are new teachers and helpers for the fall.
